For all of you busy folks out there, I will keep this nice and short: my name is Dario and I am an Assistant Director.

Since leaving MET film school in late 2012, I have gone from no budget student productions to multi-million high end films and TV shows. To date I have professional credits in short films, features, TV shows, music promos, commercials and corporate films.

I have experience with shooting in studio and on location, stunt works, VFX (green screen), SFX (weather, squibs and explosions), high profile cast, child actors and background action with over 100 SAs. By the time we wrap our project, I believe you will agree with saying I am a trustable, confident and most of all enthusiastic individual.

After all, I have come a long way to be here today. I was born in a village around beautiful Florence – you might have heard of Michelangelo’s David. My school years ended with a BA in Journalism and an MA in Creative Writing.

In my life I have waited tables, sold fashionable clothing, books and computers to people, served you popcorn and nachos at the cinema, worked in public relations and also took tourists in wine tours around Tuscany. Then, one day, I realised that working in films wasn’t just a dream.

After moving through Ireland, Scotland and Canada I moved back to the place that started it all, London. These many years away from home led me to become fluent in a second language – English – and pretty decent at French and Spanish.

And so, here I am. I’m happy to take on either long or short form projects. I am currently based in Belfast, NI, but available to travel and relocate wherever your production would need me to.

Thanks for reading!
